How to get a striking metallic eye look
Sfoggiare un make-up occhi argento metallizzato non è affatto semplice. Il look è accattivante, sì, ma l’applicazione è tricky e le texture in questione o sbavano o perdono subito la loro luminosità. Finalmente, Dior ci ha servito la soluzione, facile facile eppur sempre d’impatto, con la riformulazionedegli ombretti Diorshow e il lancio del finish lamè. Personalmente li adoro. Tecnicamente parlando si distinguono per la texture inedita, morbida e cremosa che avvolge la palpebra come una vernice vestendola di pura luce. In pratica i Diorshow Mono Eyeshadow si stendono senza difficoltà, si sfumano e si sovrappongono, per effetti sempre diversi.
Ma torniamo a noi e al nostro make-up look.
Prima di iniziare tenete conto che quando si vuole mettere il focus su uno sguardo così importante bisogna mantenere il resto del trucco il più naturale possibile, rendendo la pelle perfetta, evitando blush, bronzer e contouring forzati ma lasciando spazio ad highlighter per catturare ulteriormente la luce e annullando le labbra.
Per creare questo look ho iniziato preparando la base con DiorSkin Forever & Ever Wear Makeup Base per poi applicare il nuovo fondotinta Diorskin Forever, una formula incredibilmente leggera che si stende uniformemente fondendosi con la pelle. Per finire la base, ho illuminato gli zigomi, le arcate sopracciliari, l’arco del naso e l'arco di cupido con Dior Skinflash, corretto le occhiaie con il Fix-It e quindi fissato tutto con DiorSkin Forever & Ever Control Loose Powder.
Ora, gli occhi. Per nascondere rossori o discrormie sulle palpebre e aumentare la tenuta dell’ombretto ho sfumato un tocco di Fix-It su tutta la palpebra fino all’arcata sopracciliare e poi, usando l’applicatore in spugna in dotazione, ho steso due strati del Diorshow Mono Eyeshadow in Techno su tutta la palpebra mobile, allungando la forma dell’occhio verso l’esterno e verso l’alto per estremizzare la modernità del tutto.
Detto fatto. Per completare il look, due passate di Diorshow Mascara, un tocco di Fix-it sulle labbra per annullarne il colore e un velo di Lip Glow. Ora, siete pronte a brillare.
Pulling off a silver metallic eye is not so simple. The look is striking, the application tricky. Yet, thanks to Dior’s newly reformulated Diorshow Mono Eyeshadow the job gets a lot easier.
First things first: when you want to focus on such an important eye look, keep the rest of the makeup as natural as possible, with flawless skin, no blush nor contouring, a tiny bit of highlighter (to furthermore catch the light) and nude lips.
To achieve this look I started prepping the skin with DiorSkin Forever & Ever Wear Makeup Base and then applying the new Diorskin Forever foundation, an incredibly lightweight formula that glides onto the skin easily and evenly and really melts into it. To finish the base, I highlighted cheekbones, brow bones, arch of the nose and the cupid’s bow with Dior SkinFlash, concealed dark circles with the Fix-It and then set everything into place with DiorSkin Forever & Ever Control Loose Powder.
Now, the eyes. To conceal any redness on the lids and to make the eyeshadow lasts longer I dabbed the magic Fix-It all over the lid up to the brow bone and then with the sponge applicator I started applying the Diorshow Mono Eyeshadow in Techno all over the lid. To keep everything more modern and to give the look an edgy twist I decided to elongate the shape a bit outwards and upwards. On me two layers delivered full and shiny coverage. What I love about this eyeshadow is its texture that really stands out and that, despite the striking result and the iper-pigmented texture is soft, creamy and very easy to apply, can be easily blended and overlapped, for infinite different effects. Moreover it lasts long without smudging or creasing when applied over the Fix-It or the Eye Prime Long Wear.
That’s it. To finish the look, coat twice the lashes with the Diorshow Mascara, conceal the natural color of your lips with (again) the Fix-it and dab some Lip Glow on it. Now, you are ready to sparkle.
