Diciamocelo, un incarnato curato, impeccabilmente perfetto, è ciò a cui tutte aspiriamo, e chez Dior hanno il nostro stesso obiettivo. Non per niente la Maison francese ha guidato in questi ultimi anni una rivoluzione skincare, partendo dallo studio di nuove e incomparabili formule di trattamento (Capture Total e Hydra Life, sto parlando di voi), proseguendo con quei prodotti ibridi fra cura e makeup che tanto amiamo (Dreamskin Perfect Skin Cushion), per finire poi con il "finish” unico - naturale ma coprente, matte ma luminoso e vibrante, e di lunga durata - della (quasi) nuova linea Diorskin Forever.

Fix-It Colour
Ma Peter Phillips - direttore della Creazione e dell'Immagine del Makeup Dior - ha voluto andare oltre e portare il makeup della pelle a un nuovo livello, quello dei colori. Sì, perché la pelle è pigmentata, la pelle è rossa, la pelle è gialla, la pelle è blu, la pelle è grigia. E l'unico modo per nascondere queste "imperfezioni" è giocando con i loro contrasti, i colori complementari. Da qui sono nati i Fix-It Colour, e il loro uso (una volta che si capisce come funzionano) non potrebbe essere più facile. È vero, all’inizio possono spaventare e l’idea di usare il blu e il verde non è per niente naturale; proprio per questo ho chiesto a Davide Frizzi - International Makeup Artist per la Maison Dior - di spiegarci qualcosa in più e lui e il team Dior sono stati così gentili da aprire le porte della Dior House per me, per girare questo video per voi.

And the only way to conceal these “imperfections” is by playing with their contrasts, the complementary colors. From here the Fix-It Colour were born, and their use (once you know how they work) couldn’t be easier. Since they can frighten at fist sight I asked to Davide Frizzi - International Makeup Artist for the House of Dior - how to use them and he with the Dior team were kind enough to open the doors of the Dior House for me to shoot this video for you.

Pulire e idratare
Tutto parte sempre da una buona pulizia. Una base perfetta deve essere perfettamente struccata e libera da tossine e impurità e in seguito deve essere idratata a dovere. Per questo abbiamo usato prima l’acqua micellare Eau Micellaire Dèmaquillant Express (come nei backstage) e il siero Hydra Life Pro-Youth Sorbet Essence.
Fissare la base con DiorSkin Forever & Ever Wear Makeup Base
Con un pennello (Fluid Foundation Brush N11) applicate il primer Diorskin Forever and Ever Wear su tutto il viso. Non dimenticate di agitarlo bene prima dell'uso.
Clowning con i Fix-It Colours
Ve lo starete chiedendo sicuramente, ma cosa è il clowning? Dopo il contouring (metter in risalto le ombre) e lo strobing (mettere in risalto le luci) l’ultima moda è quella di usare i colori per annullare le imperfezioni delle pelle come rossori, mancanza di luminosità, occhiaie… E lo si fa per contrasto. Quindi, Dior propone quattro tonalità e qui vi spiego come usarle tutte.
- Per attenuare macchie scure e occhiaie si usa la tonalità albicocca, basta applicarla nell’angolo interno dell'occhio, spostandosi prima leggermente verso l’alto nella zona d’ombra e poi in basso coprendo tutta l’occhiaia.
- Per nascondere i brufoli più rossi, i vasi sanguigni e le zone arrossate si prende invece il Fix-It verde e si disegna un triangolo capovolto partendo orizzontalmente sotto l'occhio e scendendo poi di traverso lungo le guance. Si chiude il triangolo all’altezza delle labbra.
- Per uniformare le carnagioni stanche (io, io, io!) e per dare un tocco di bagliore in più si applica il Fix-It blu al centro della fronte, sul mento e sulle linee che dal naso vanno verso le labbra.
- Infine si neutralizza il colore delle labbra in modo da far risaltare il rossetto utilizzando il giallo su tutta la zona e anche sul contorno.
Ora, con il pennello Foundation Blush N.12 (alta copertura) tutti si sfumano insieme.
Il fondotinta Diorskin Forever
Davide Frizzi ha usato il Diorskin Forever Perfect Makeup Everlasting Wear Pore-Refining Effect with Sunscreen Foundation (lo so, ci vuole tempo per leggerlo, ma credetemi vale ogni singola parola) per uniformare la mia carnagione. Scegliendo una tonalità più chiara rispetto la mia pelle, lo ha sfumato a partire dal centro del viso verso l’esterno usando il Fluid Foundation Brush N11 - Light Coverage.
Diorshow Brow Chalk
Per migliorare e definire in tutta naturalezza le sopracciglia abbiamo utilizzato il nuovo Diorshow Brow Chalk, iniziando con la punta piatta nell’angolo interno per riempire e poi inclinandolo leggermente per definire l’arcata. Ammetto che mi piace moltissimo, è così facile e veloce da usare che è diventato il mio go-to. Eppure, se le vostre sopracciglia sono più sottili Davide suggerisce di utilizzare l’All-in-Brow 3D per avere un migliore controllo sulla forma.
Il makeup occhi Skyline per l'Autunno 2016
La gemma della collezione Skyline è sicuramente la 5 Couleurs Palette in Capital of Light che traspone le sfumature cromatiche di un autunno parigino permettendo di creare uno smoky eye nuovo e inaspettato. Se non lo sapevate le 5 Couleurs Palette si usano orizzontalmente, quindi tenendo come fulcro la tinta in mezzo si usano poi le due sopra o le due sotto. Noi abbiamo optato per quelle sotto, più rappresentative della collezione e più d’impatto (ma anche più difficili da usare).
Si inizia con la tinta centrale (una rosa corallo) sfumata su tutto la palpebra mobile con l'applicatore in spugna, poi, si applica la tonalità champagne (in basso a sinistra) sotto l’arcata sopracciliare. Ora, dimenticatevi di spugne e pennelli, le dita prendono il controllo per creare un gioco molto naturale di sfumature. Tamponate il dito medio sulla sfumatura burgundy (in basso a destra) e sfumatela partendo dall'angolo esterno dell'occhio andando verso l’alto e l’interno, seguendo la piega naturale della palpebra. Per finire, tracciate una linea vicino alla rima ciliare superiore usando l’applicatore a punta e intensificatela con il Pro Liner Diorshow (sfumato poi con l’Eyeliner Brush N24) per mettere in risalto l’occhio.
Illumina l'occhio con il Flash Luminizer
Se siete amanti dello Skinflash vi farete sicuramente conquistare dal nuovo Flash Luminizer, un booster di luce che illumina le zone d'ombra per ridurre i segni di stanchezza. Risvegliare lo sguardo non è mai stato così facile. (Tamponatelo con la punta delle dita o con il pennello Foundation Brush N11 come mostrato nel video).
Giocate con la luce del Diorshow Nude Air Luminizer
Un ulteriore tocco di luce non fa mai male e il Diorshow Nude Air Luminizer si presta proprio a ultimare il “glow” grazie alla sua formula impalpabile che può essere applicata con tocchi delicati su tutto il contorno labbra (per mettere in risalto il rossetto), sugli zigomi e su tutte le zone del viso dove si vuole far riflettere la luce (centro della fronte, mento, dorso del naso ...).
Diorshow New Look: il mascara che offre volume e la cura
Non avevo mai usato il mascara Diorshow New Look e il risultato mi ha impressionato. Lo scovolino mignon cattura e avvolge tutte le ciglia, una ad una, anche le più piccole. Inoltre, la sua formula si prende anche cura delle ciglia il che raddoppia il suo uso come un siero/primer (eppure, il mio amore va ancora al Diorshow Maximizer 3D).
Scolpire con la Diorblush Light & Contour
Devo ammetterlo, sono una blush dipendente. Mi piace l'idea di un colore naturale e la mia makeup routine di tutti i giorni ruota intorno al blush e a poco altro. Così, quando Davide Frizzi mi ha proposto di sperimentare il nuovo Diorblush Light & Contour non ero proprio euforica, temevo che il risultato sarebbe stato troppo finto e troppo forte. Invece, sono rimasta positivamente sorpresa. La formula del Diorblush Light & Contour è molto leggera, basta picchiettare il prodotto sotto gli zigomi e poi sfumarlo con il pennello Foundation Brush N.11. Il risultato è naturale e senza soluzione di continuità, da un po’ di tono e volume al viso (il che non è poi cosi male).
Labbra Sensational
Mai il nome di un rossetto è stato più appropriato. A parte la texture dei rossetti Dior Addict che è veramente sensazionale, il colore di questa edizione limitata riflette sicuramente il suo nome. Applicatelo direttamente per un tocco puro e semplice di colore.
Et voilà, tutti i prodotti della Collezione Autunno 2016 Skyline vi sono stati presentati e spiegati, ma se avete altre domande non esitate a chiedere!
Cleanse and Moisturize
Everything always starts from a good cleansing. A perfect base must be thoroughly cleansed and free of toxins and impurities and subsequently must be hydrated properly. We started cleansing my skin with the new Instant Cleansing Water and the applying the Hydra Life Pro-Youth Sorbet Essence for a boost of moisture.
Fix the base with DiorSkin Forever & Ever Wear Makeup Base
Apply the Diorskin Forever and Ever Wear primer all over the face with the Fluid Foundation Brush N11 - Light Coverage, and don't forget to shake it well before opening it.
Clowning with the Fix-it Colors
You will definitely be wondering what is clowning? After contouring (pulling out the face volumes with shadows) and strobing (highlight the volumes with lights) the latest trend is to use colors to cancel skin imperfections such as redness, dullness, blemishes, dark circles... And we do it by contrast. There are four shade (chez Dior) you can use for clowning and we used all of them.
- To diminishing dark spots and dark circles use the apricot shade, apply it in the inner corner of the eye, a bit upward along the bridge of the nose and then down below the eye covering all the area of the dark circle.
- To conceal the most red pimples, blood vessels and flushed areas apply the green Fix-It in a triangle shape starting horizontally under the eye and going down across the cheeks util reaching the lips lever.
- To even out tired complexions (me, me, me!) and for some extra glow apply the blue Fix-It in the center of the forehead, on chin and then across the lower part of the cheeks from the outer corner of the nose to the one of the lips.
- To neutralize the color of the lips in order to make the lipstick pop use the yellow on all the area and even a bit around.
Now, with the Fluid Foundation Blush N.12 High Coverage blend them all together .
Diorskin Forever Foundation
Davide Frizzi used the Diorskin Forever Perfect Makeup Everlasting Wear Pore-Refining Effect with Sunscreen Foundation (I know, it takes ages to read it, but trust me it is worth every single word) to even out my complexion. Picking a shade lighter than my skin, he blended it from the center of the face outer using the Fluid Foundation Brush N11 - Light Coverage.
Diorshow Brow Chalk
We naturally enhanced and defined the eyebrows using the new Diorshow Brow Chalk, starting by using it flat when doing the inner part and then tilting it down to define the arch. I love it, it’s so easy and quick that has became my go-to. Still, if your brows are thinner Davide suggests to use the All-in-brow 3D to have better control on the shape.
The Skyline eye look for Fall 2016
The gem of the Skyline fall 2016 makeup Collection is for sure the 5 Couleurs Palette in Capital of Light that transposes the chromatic shades of a Parisian autumn allowing to create a sensual smoky eyes.
We started applying the central shade (a coral pink) on all the lid with the sponge applicator, then, the champagne hue (down, left) was dabbed on the brow arch with the other side of the sponge. Now, the fingers take control to create a very natural game of shades. Just apply the burgundy hue starting from the outer corner of the eye and working it outer and upper along the crease. To finish, draw the same shade with the pointed sponge applicator along the lash line and enhance it with the Diorshow Pro Liner, blending it at the end with the Eyeliner Brush N24.
Brighten the eye with the Flash Luminizer
If you loved the Skinflash you will for sure be won over by the new Flash Luminizer, a radiance booster that illuminates shadowy areas to lessens signs of fatigue. Reviving the eyes has never been so easy. (Blend it with your fingertips or with the Foundation Brush N11 like shown in the video).
Strobe a little with the Diorshow Nude Air Luminizer
Deliver the last touch of light with Diorshow Nude Air Luminizer, an impalpable powder that can be applied with gentle touches around the lips contour (to make the lipstick stand out), on the upper cheekbones and on all the areas of the face where you want the light to be reflected (center of the forehead, chin, bridge of the nose…).
Diorshow New Look: the mascara that delivers volume and care
It was the first time I had ever used this mascara and I have to say that the result is unique. The nano bush of the Diorshow New Look coats all the lashes, one by one, even the tiniest. And, as an added value, it features a lash-care formula that double its use up as a serum/primer (yet, my love is still with the Diorshow Maximizer 3D).
Sculpting with the Diorblush Light & Contour
Ok, I’m a blush addicted. I love the idea of a natural flush and my everyday makeup routine is mostly made by this. So, when Davide Frizzi proposed me to experiment with the new Diorblush Light & Contour I wasn’t so happy, I feared that the result would be too fake and too strong. Instead, I was positively surprised. The formula of the Diorblush Light & Contour is very light, you have to dab it under the cheekbones and then to blend it with the Foundation Brush N.11. The result is seamless and natural, it just adds a bit of sculpt to the face (which I quite like).
Sensational Lips
Never a lipstick name was more appropriate. A part from the texture of the Dior Addict lipsticks that is truly sensational, the color of this limited edition definitely reflects its name. Apply it directly from the bullet for a sheer touch of color.
Et voilà, all the Skyline Fall 2016 Collection have been presented and explained but, if you have more question don’t hesitate to ask!
The new Rouge Dior lipsticks
Dopo questo look ci siamo divertiti a giocare con i nuovi rossetti Rouge Dior. Davide prima ha optato per la tonalità fucsia di Miss (047), poi ha deciso per il classico e incomparabile rosso opaco Matte 999, per poi passare a qualcosa di decisamente più audace: le labbra bicolor, con i Rouge Dior Extreme Matte Shades in Montaigne Matte (grigio) e Visionary Matte (blu). Ultimo ma non meno importante, abbiamo sfoggiato due interpretazioni delle moody lips utilizzando prima l'Extreme Matte Shades in Poison Matte e poi laccandolo con il Dior Lip Maximizer per il tocco glossy finale. Cosa ne pensate?
After this look we played a litte bit (or better, for more then an hour) with the new Rouge Dior lipsticks. Davide first opted for the fuchsia hue of Miss (047), then decided for the classic and incomparable red Matte 999, then switched to something definitely bolder: the two shade lips, featuring the Extreme Matte Shades of Montaigne Matte (grey) and Visionary Matte (blue). Last but not least we pulled off two interpretation of the deep and dark berry lip using first the Extreme Matte Shades in Poison Matte and then topping it with the Dior Lip Maximizer for the ultimate glossy touch.
